Directed by Andrew Stanton (director of Finding Nemo and WALL-E) and written by Edgar Burroughs (author of Tarzan), John Carter (2012) is a movie about a bitter ex-soldier whose immature and daring actions transport him to Mars. This movie was predicted by Disney to be amongst the 2012 best movies. John Carter is played by Taylor Kitsch, a Canadian actor, best known for his role as Tim Riggins on the television series Friday Night Lights.

Upon his arrival to Mars, he discovers that 12-foot tall, green, long legged ‘aliens’, two of them voiced by Willem Dafoe and Samantha Morton, inhabit the planet and is captured. After escaping, he meets Princess Dejah Thoris (played by Lynn Collins) who is looking for saving. John Carter decides to try to save everyone from the growing treat. John Carter 2012 will show up on movie goers best movies lists.
