The Tree of Life
One of the best movies around, The Tree of Life stars Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, and Jessica Chastain. It won the Palme d’Or at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. The Tree of Life is a drama set in the 1950s. Jack feels that life is marvelous and the world is full of love and mercy, just like his mother. However, his father has a different view. As Jack experiences sickness, suffering, and even death, the world is no longer as glorious as it once was. As an adult, Jack is faced with gaining a new understanding of the world, forgiving his father, and taking the first steps on his own path. The hope and joy felt at the end of this film makes it one of the top movies around.

Some very beautiful scenes, felt like you were apart of the movie and could relate to each one of the characters. I was confused to who Sean Penns character was suppose to be and how he fell in the story line. Ending fell short of expectations, not defining the scene to come into place.
