Usually movies that are based on comic stories targeted for the younger auditory and directors try to avoid too much violence or rube expressions in their works. Watchmen is absolutely different case in its approach, director Zack Snydner who filmed 300 does his best into exposing all the details of original comics. That is why movie is full of violence, sexuality and rude words – everything is taken from the book.
They story takes place in the alternative universe in the year 1985. President Nixon still controls the country and all types of superheroes are real. The problem is that they are banned and illegal.
Actors play is nice and you would definitely like Billy Crudup in the role of main villain who does amazing job and his Dr Manhattan is truly sinful figure in that film. This masterpiece in the genre of superhero/fantasy/sci-fi can be easily included in the best movies list.
